Failure to attend any training sessions(classroom or riding) or to have proper riding gear as outlined above will result in dissmissal from the course and the cancellation policy will apply. It is also recommended that you take a private lesson prior to course start date.

Basic Riders Course

     The BRC was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) as a complete riding program for the novice rider. Taught solely by the MSF certified RiderCoaches, the course consist of five hours of classroom and ten hours of hands on riding instruction. The 2 1/2 or 2 days which consists of 15 hours provides the novice motorcyclist with the basic mental and physical skills necessary to minimize risk on the street. 

     In the classroom you will learn the steps to become aware of, accept,and manage risk. Other topics that you will study are pre-ride inspection of your motorcycle, routine maintenance, lane positioning, maximum breaking and swerving techniques, and others. when it is time for you to mount your motorcycle for the first time on the range you will build upon the techniques that were taught to you in the classroom.

Each one of these classes contains 12 students and 2 RiderCoaches. Trama's will supply our students with helmets (if needed), motorcycles and the necessary literature that would be needed for the course. The gear that the student needs to supply consists of a long sleeve shirt or jacket, over the ankle boots,(steel toed boots are not recommended) full finger gloves and long pants.
