The Basic Rider Course 2 (BRC2) was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation as a skill-polishing course for riders with at least three months riding experience. The workshop consists of a half day of instruction all taught by MSF certified instructors.
Some topics that are covered are risk management, the relationship between mental and physical riding skills, traction management and developing a riding strategy. Also you will practice proper cornering techniques, emergency straight line breaking ,stopping quickly in a curve, counter steering for cornering and the use of counterbalancing skills for tighter turns. The exercises combine to provide an understanding of motorcycle dynamics. You must provide your own motorcycle, full tank of gas, proof of registration and insurance and present your motorcycle licence. The motorcycle must have a current New York State Motorcycle Inspection.
